Responsibilities
Monitor packing lines, including, straw applicator, shrink Wrappers, Case sealer and bar and date coding equipment.
Ensure all supplies (straws, glue, etc.) are stocked and refilled for production
Check conveyors prior to production to ensure equipment is functioning properly
Follow proper cleaning procedures for all equipment
Maintain all equipment and work area in a clean and sanitary condition
Alert mechanic if equipment malfunctions and work with them to correct problem
Perform work in safe and efficient manner
Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Grade 12 education or equivalent experience
Ability to learn multiple pieces of operating equipment and possess an ability to trouble shoot equipment
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Previous related machine operator is an asset
You must be willing to work at any shift pattern assigned
Some overtime may be required (as assigned)
